why is my supercab listed as a 2 door

I recently bought an old beater 99 F150 ..
but looking up parts online is somewhat confusing when asked how many doors and I always put 4 because of the extra suicide doors in the rear
but any place I punch my vin number in including the Ford vin look up linked by this forum ... says that it is a 2 door
even my Geico insurance recognize my vin as belonging to a 2-door .

are the supercabs with suicide doors really considered 2-doors ...
or is there something wrong with my vin number ...
ie: "chop-shop" truck or something .

For 1999 there were only 2 cab styles in the F150. Regular cab (2 doors), and Super Cab (4 doors). The vin on my 2002 Super Cab comes up as just that. Perhaps for poops and giggles you could have a dealer look into it?

F18 — F-150 Regular Cab, 4x4 (Styleside)
F27 — F-250 Regular Cab, 4x2 (Styleside)
F28 — F-250 Regular Cab, 4x4 (Styleside)
X07 — F-150 SuperCab, 4x2 (Flareside)
X08 — F-150 SuperCab, 4x4 (Flareside)
X17 — F-150 SuperCab, 4x2 (Styleside)
X18 — F-150 SuperCab, 4x4 (Styleside)
X27 — F-250 SuperCab, 4x2 (Styleside)

Well I have a 1999 super cab. I have never had a problem finding parts. Ford pats online list a supercab for 99. I believe only super crew is classified as 4 door.

There were no SuperCrew F150s in the 1999 model year.

Most likely, the OP's confusion is being caused by the error of the online parts sources who have inaccurate information in their system.
