Question Programmer / Tuner

I just bought an 2015 F250 4x4 6.2L (gas) I am thinking about buying a programmer/tuner for it. I am planning on taking the truck pulling a 28' camper to Florida this summer. My goal is to get the most gas mileage I can out of the truck. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with programmers?

SAVE YOUR MONEY!

When I was buying my 2014 6.2L, I thought about buying a tuner because I pull a 40' fifth wheel RV. HEAVY!!! I go from Los Angeles to Denver in Spring and reverse trip in Fall with a few detours on the way because we live in a beautiful Country. I truck pulls GREAT! Yes, it is true when pulling steep grades... I am in 1st gear, 3500 rpm, 25 mph. I am willing to except that speed on steep grades. On level ground, I pull about 60 mph for safety reasons. I could go faster on level ground but this is how I drive... safety over speed. Anyways, my truck is perfect for me.

Weluv, how much does your toy hauler weigh? I ask because I'm looking at getting a 5th wheel that has a dry weight of 12800 lbs, I have the 4:30 rear end, but I'm still a little concerned about its ability to tow this, some of the trips will be in the Canadian Rockies, plus we live at a altitude of around 3300 ft.

Any thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated.

My toy hauler/pop up is in the neighborhood of 3,600 with out a toy and I believe it max GVWR is 6,000 with payload.

Fireman - you might be interested in reading the thread "3.73 to 4.30 conversion question". Several of us posted what we are pulling (with weights) in various conditions. I have pulled a 10k-12.8k 5er for 13 years now with both a Chevy Dmax and now a F250 6.2L.
