2004 E-350 Vibrations

Hello There, and please donīt kill me about my question !!
I have still a problem with my daily driver, 2004 E-350 5.4 V8, 20.000miles on the clock !
I have vibrations starting at about 40mph +.

The vibrations are finer than coming from wheels. All 4 wheels have new tires on and are balanced to 0 grams !
The drives haft was also in a shop to get new joints and is also balanced.

The vibes are still there.

Has anyone an idea what it can be?

I noticed big clearance up and down, when I plugged up the drive shaft back into the automatic transmission.
How much should that clearance be? Can this be the cause?
Thanks for any help !!
Joerg

2004 f150 trucks had lots of problems with the rear axle...maybe that is where your issue is.
