My Bronco has been stuttering while I accelerate normally around 3500-4000 rpm.

 

Have you considered signing it up for speech therapy?

 

Haha, maybe it should just stop yelling first and it won't stutter as much! Stuttering while yelling would be pretty embarrassing.


On a more serious note, I would first check spark plug wires and routing. Slight misfires from spark gap can be more noticeable at higher RPMS. Make sure your wires aren't touching the exhaust or grounding out anywhere else, and that they aren't sparking across each other. There are some diagrams floating around these forums on proper routing for the wires.


Also, check for engine codes! I'm assuming you probably don't have a 96 bronco, so you should look up the procedure for KOEO and KOER code checking. It's very easy and all you need is a paper clip and your truck keys.

 

My bronco was doing something similar when I put her back together, except it was at a little lower RPMs. I checked the wires with an ohm meter and they had 5to 7 ohms of resistance. New wires fixed the problem
