300 Six headers

Does anyone make such an animal? Or do I need to find a specialist to split the exhaust should I want to entertain this option. I already have two trucks with FEs in them and I know from past experience the 300 Six is virtually bulletproof if maintained properly. Finding a 4 speed bellhousing will be another time consuming project I'm sure.

87 to 96 EFI 300 came with a set of split cast iron hedders. Flow real good and they are good upgrade to an early engine.

Source the down pipe from the same truck to make the duals.

We purchased one from Headman. Bolted in without much issue......had to un-bolt the passenger side motor mount and jack the engine up slightly.

You'll need a starter cable, high-temp insulator shield as I found out this the hard way. Starter cable laid against one of the collectors, the heat melted the insulation and grounded out the starter. Surprised the crap outta me when it went into full engage mode with the engine running. Luckily I quickly figured what had happened, the sparks were a dead giveaway.

I replaced the intake at the same time and went with an Offy dual plane with a Holley 350cfm 4bbl. Sounds good, almost like a V-8 but the cam gear drive is a dead give-away it's not. Best part, 4bbl was an improvement over the 1bbl in fuel economy and general grade performance.
