Anti-lock brakes come on when turning

I have a 2011 F350, with a 4 inch Rancho Suspension lift. Ever since the lift kit was installed, more commonly when turning to the left than right, the anti lock brakes come on and the traction control light comes on/flashes. without even stepping on brake pedal.

It seems to happen when the wheel is at about 80% of max turning, about 15mph. Both wheel hubs and sensors have been replaced. road tested with Ford tech , he watched the speed sensor input while hooked to the computer and all sensor are reading correctly.

Today I went in a constant circle and can make it do it non stop, and when you try to press the brake pedal while the anti-lock (grinding/chattering) noise is happening, it only gets louder.

Any input would be helpful.
thank, Jason

Sounds like the Advance Trac / RSC / ESC is activating. Perhaps it is detecting rolling or a traction discrepancy. There is a somewhat related topic about feeling the vibrating pedal going downhill into a sharp turn (at a entirely reasonable speed).

Press and hold your TC button until the advance trac shuts off. Then try it again.

Thank You for those that replied. The Advance track is what is causing the problem. When I brought it to ford the Mechanic and the District field service rep wasn't aware it could be turned off. So now that is has been narrowed down to what it is, now comes "the fix". Ford did fin a steering angle sensor that was no good. it was replaced and still no change. It only happens when the steering wheel is turned to the left about 80% of its total available turn, between the miles of 6-14mph. faster or slower it goes away. sharper and less it goes away. Very rarely does it to the right. All 4 wheel speed sensor where also replaced and with-in 2-3mph of each other when turning. I test drove the truck in circles with the tech as he had the computer attached to get all the readings. STUMPED Any Ideas?

Thank You

Good luck. My 2014 has done that since I drove it off the lot (bone stock). Especially if you are turning and hit a small bump. The dealer had it multiple times. They also claimed bad steering angle sensor and replaced it. After they were stumped and claimed a similar truck does the same thing I was pretty much told it was "characteristic of the vehicle" and had to deal with it. I also notice it does it mostly on left turns. I have since added a 6 inch lift and 37s and it does it the same as it did bone stock. If you can figure it out I give you credit because I gave up.

Mine does exactly the same thing as the first poster said. I have a 2015 F350 as well. It’s when I turn left with the wheel in the same position as his and going the same speed he mentioned. It usually has to have some sort of small bump involved to do it. I just blew it off and figured the computer was detecting something. I figured if it did it more than just those limited circumstances I'd be concerned.

Are you using over-sized tires? If not, make sure your front tire inflation is the same in both front tires to what the factory sticker says.
