What's funny is I left it parked the last couple of days, and I think the old one started working, but then I noticed it was smoking hot to the touch, and out it came. Could be just me, but wipers, door locks all seem to be crisp when operated. Hopefully this week I will have time to replace my belt, thermostat and upper radiator hose.

Hey even if it is just you, at least you are happier right? When you're doing your belt, take a close look at your tensioner. My was wobbling a bit when it was running so I replaced it. Once I did I realized how weak the old one actually was because of the effort it required to but the belt on with the new one.

Probably a bit early to ask what you think of the alternator, but my 2005 6.0 needs a new alternator every 2 years and of course out is always at the wrong time when I'm away from home and all I can get is a Ford remanufacture and have to change out in campground.

Definitely looking for better quality and higher output would be a plus.

So far so good. I have no complaints. I also purchased the extended warranty from DB electrical. Purchased all thru eBay one smooth transaction.
