which pully does your power steering pump use
Im putting air from a 71 ranger xlt f100 on my 70 model crew cab f250 the 71 used the pulley that was closest to the motor for the alt. Then the next pulley out goes for the power steering. Then the next pulley is used for air. On the 70 the back two pulleys are used for the alt and the last pulley is used for the power steering, all the brackets are the same on both trucks the only difference that i can find is that the front of the power steering pump of the 70 is longer.I have called the local parts houses and they all show the same part number for all of the power steering pumps for both trucks Help i gotta have air.
Thanks Jeff
BTW both trucks have 390s in them

When I put power steering on my 72 I went with the newer style pump so I could get brackets. I have since changed the pump once, but I have to use the puller and pull the pulley out about 1/4 inch to make the pulleys line up. It's been working that way for 13 years. I know this doesn't specifically answer the question but sometimes things like this are necessary.
