Question Couple questions about my engine

I've found some conflicting info on which engine I have.

Serial decode says the 239. Wikipedia says the 239 was replaced in 1955. I've read where grabbing the stamping on the engine will suffice. Others say that isn't always accurate.

If I can't verify it, how will this affect part shopping(main item is fuel pump right now)?

The 239 Y-block was used through 1955.
The 239 had EBV Heads and block.
Here is some info on casting numbers:

Serial decode says the 239. Wikipedia says the 239 was replaced in 1955 Ford Passenger Cars only (with the 272).
Wiki Wiki info should be taken with a grain of salt, as some of their info is either misleading or BS!

OHV 239: 1954 Ford Passenger Cars & 1954/55 F100/700.
