cruising EGT's

Just curious what some of you are seeing for EGT's while cruising at 65? Bone stock my truck used to run 700-720 while cruising 65 but after all the upgrades in my sig, now I am closer to 800-825 while cruising. I don't think I need to worry about it because under WOT, I can't break 1200* but I was just curious why my cruising EGT's would be higher than before. Thanks!

No tunes?

Bigger exhaust should be worth a 50-100 drop. Although to be honest I have never paid attention to cruise EGT, just idle and WOT on a pull.

Only tune is an Atlas 40 FICM tune. I know I shouldn't be worried, but it seems much easier now to go between 800* & 1000* during acceleration however, it hasn't ever broken 1200* after the upgrades. Maybe I'm paranoid

my 6.0 varies between 600 and 800 cruising at highway speeds.'If it downshifts they can drop 100 degrees easily. So I do not mind a downshift for that reason.

Atlas 40 will raise EGT due to the longer burn.

I average 600-700 with tunes, but I stay around 55.
Pulling my TT I don't break 900 (except maybe BIG hills).

You did a 4 inch lift. Did that come with larger wheels/tires or more aggressive tread pattern (i.e., all terrain to off road/mudders)?

Thanks for the replies! Yes, along with the 4" lift came 35" Toyo AT2 tires. Today with warmer weather, my EGT's were in around 875-900* while cruising 65. I talked to a buddy of mine with 155/30 injectors and a hot tune, leveling kit, and 35" tires and he runs around 800* but he said he rarely sees over 950* during his normal driving routing.
I on the other hand almost always break 1050* while accelerating to highway speed. I truly think there must be a problem, but I cant find it!

I have tried a turbo boost leak detector and only found a small leak in the MAF hose which I soon replaced.

I let the truck cool down then had a buddy start it and rev it up while I felt for exhaust leaks around the up-pipes and y-pipe but felt no leaks and saw now signs of soot anywhere. I am at a loss at to what the problem could be!

For a recap: my EGT's were fine before adding the following upgrades:

4" lift/ 35" tires
DIY ported intake
EGR delete
y-pipe with upgraded flex joints and wrapped in heat wrap
03 turbo with billet wheel

Update: with warmer 75* weather today and a 100 mile road trip, EGT's stayed steady around 925* while cruising 65 mph

Is there any way that maybe if I ran a tuner, it would help actually reduce EGT's by giving more exhaust to spin the turbo?

Bump.. I had to tow an empty car trailer today against a headwind and my egts sustained 1150 while cruising and seemed low on power and took 2 miles to reach 65 mph. During the first 1/2 mile of a hill, the speed dropped from 65 to 30. Please help, I need my tow pig back!!
