Have you been checking on parts here in the classified section? I used to keep an eye on it when I had my SD and there was always some good deals there.

In answer to the question in the OP, I ceramic coated my up-pipes and the turbo for the corrosion protection. I used the brand that supplies the military, ( the brand escapes me at the moment), but I would coat it before install as it works well for the reason I stated. As for performance gains? Probably, but I doubt you could ever tell. If you can spray it yourself, do it. I have pictures in my album/gallery, or what ever they call it.

I've seen a few rusty cars around Tahoe in my day. I'd coat the up-pipes for that reason alone.

I'm from MN, I've seen rusty exhaust. Never have I witnessed an exhaust rusted out that close to the manifold. Never.

Hmmm. I just bought a set for one of the E99 pickups at work that had a transmission failure due to a dumb-*** employee. 212K on the originals so I replaced them since I was there for a grand total of $112.75.

I'm not sure why everyone "hates on" the donuts. I've NEVER had any problems with them after replacement and I'd hate to count the number of them running around my area that I've replaced. For what it's worth, the 2000 that I drive with 270K miles still has the originals (with the factory-installed heat shields) that don't leak at all.......

Thank you for that didn't know you could do the ceramic coating yourself. Thought it was some kind of special application. I'll have to look into your album.

Theres a few but know where near the East Coast. Were not allowed to use salt on the roads as it will pollute the lake only sand and i'm fine with that.

Any where around $120.00 would be a nice game changer. Is it really worth it in the long run to convert over? I'm just looking for some HP and MPG gain but mainly longevity. Need to get the truck back to 100% so I know I can trust it when many miles from home and not just hoping, then maybe a tuner as it is somewhat a slug. Nothing like my bosses 2015 F-350 platnum. This truck is not going anywhere and I'm hanging on to it for the long run.
