98 Expedition anti theft fuses good

1st key is original. Ok here I go. Replaced multifunction sw. all signals , brake like working I put the key cyl. back in and started crank ok no start then theft light started blinking fast. Checked fuses all good try some procedures still no start. Now one procedure I placed original key to run waited till light went out foot on brake turn key still no start but when I release key no theft light? If i turn key off and restart i get flashing theft light. Now my question is when theft light after cycle goes off and i try to restart theft light is out untill I release key back to off position and restart i get theft light again. So is key being recognize and/or i have a different start problem? oh again so what I stated is key being recognized at all? trying to examine all possibilities before I shop it...in army i was a generator tech so schematics ok just need the data.

There is an antenna coil around the ignition cylinder that reads the key. If it became either damaged or disconnected then you will get the problems you're getting.
