hey guys I have a problem I cant figure out. I have a 1997 F350 with the 460. I just replaced the heads and put headers on it. starts up good and runs fine but it is have oil blow black out of the dip stick. Now although im almost positive I put the head gaskets on right I know there's always a chances I didn't and is blocking one of the oil ports and I don't think a bad pcv valve would make it poor oil out the dipstick that bad. but before I tear it all back down is there anything I should check before I go that fare? thanks for the help

 

Yes it is possible. You should make sure it is working correctly. Always a chance something also fell into one of the oil ports , possible old valve cover gasket material or whatever really since you had it all off.

 

I had that problem before and it was my PCV valve that was the culprit. Hope this helps, if so it's an easy fix.
