scope for night and day use?

does anybody make a scope that can be used both night and day? Thinking about getting one for my .22 or.17 to put the smack down on some pesky varmints but don't want to have to have one gun dedicated just for night time. don't want to break the bank for one, either.

I just did a quick search and wow them things is expensive!

Didn't find much love for day/night use optics though.

For the prices they want, you could easily have two rifles.

True night vision stuff is pricey. It's not going to work in the daytime, no way no how. Not with current technology.

Scope on a .22?? What? Why, back in the day Ma would give me 1 (one) .22 short and say "Go git supper", and all we had was a single shot Stevens. I never missed. Well, mostly. (Okay, made that up.)
