1985 f250 with Golden Fuel WVO system

Good Day

I have a beautiful 1985 6.9 diesel f250 with a Goldenfuels WVO system. I have owned the truck for a year and have yet to get the system to work on WVO. I am going to try again this spring and am looking for advice and to see if there is anyone in my area who might be able to help. I am in brunswick maine. Thanks in advance!

I've not seen what golden showers fuel systems does to an IDI, but I have removed a few of their abortions from PSD's over the years. I know Mom always said 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything' - but I'm upset for my customers who wasted good money on JUNK....

That said, maybe we can salvage some of the components in your system if they are any good.

In a nutshell, you want a system that:

- does not cross contaminate the diesel tank with WVO (factory tank switching valves do this - and they don't tolerate hot VO very well)

- does not 'share' a common filter

- provides adequate heat to the WVO (ESPECIALLY in your climate!!)

- does not use copper in contact with the WVO

- does not put 'rubber' hose inside the fuel tank (like the trans coolers I've seen suspended in tanks...)

- preferably uses an aluminum tank for WVO

Anyway, let us know what you've got and we'll help ya figure out how to make it work!! Unfortunately, Maine is a long way from GA - but you are welcome to come down and I'll help ya sort it out!! ( I have customers as far away as Seattle, LA, upstate NY and Miami...

I agree, most likely that Golden System is an early WVO system, with hose on hose heating or a copper coil, all inadequate and will lead to polymerization.

Get a modern system, with a flat plat heat exchanger, no copper or brass.
A Vegistroke, Plant Drive or anc-elsbett

I do custom conversions that are even better than those.
