Electrical Problems. OBD2, cd player, no power.

I just bought a '00 F-350 Powerstroke off my friend. Someone tried to install a CD player and shorted out something(Not sure if they crossed positive and negative wires or what). Theirs no power to the CD player now, and also an Edge programmer was installed correctly by a garage but is not getting any power from the OBDII plug either.

I checked the fuses, their good. Where do I go next? What do you guys think happened when the CD player install went bad?

Truck runs great other then that, I love it!

Check fuse 3 in the central junction box. A 20 amp fuse. This feeds the OBD2 plug on pin 16, lt blue/white wire. Hot all the time.

Radio - Check fuse 29 in the Battery Junction box. A 20 amp fuse. Hot all the time. Lt green/white wire.

Radio - Also check fuse 8 in the Central Junction box. A 5 Amp fuse. Hot on in run or ACC. Blk/pnk wire.

Anyone have any insight besides a fuse? It's not the fuses.

Well.....then you need to check from the fuses to the terminal ends where you say there is no power...i gave you the fuse number and their location along with the wire colors....get your multimeter out. Do some voltage checks along with ohm checks of the wires from the fuse location to the plug that you says has no power...

Maybe buy a workshop/wire manual for your truck so you can chase down the wiring...but, i am going to do one better and this time attach wiring diagrams....maybe next time you won't be so lucky when your harsh replies to someone who is trying to help you...

Sound System Circuit.

Did you check the fuses with a VOM. I had one that broke not burned and visually I couldn't see it. Had to ask.

I didn't check this post in a couple days. I just did now. Thanks for your replies I never meant to be harsh. I ran a wire from the cigar lighter fuse in the fuse box right to the programmer and cd player. They have power now. I'm not happy with this setup but it'll do for right now.
