Ok guys, While installing my trailer brake controller I see that I have RKE module.
But when I bought the truck, it only came with ONE key and no fobs.
Can I get any fob and programs it and how do I program it?
cycle the key from off to run either 4 or 8 times, the doors will lock or unlock if the truck is remote ready.
to program the remote fob, cycle the key til the door unlocks or locks, and leave the key in run. within 20 seconds, push any button on the fob. that will sync it with the truck.

I've always wondered if mine had this since it didn't come with any key fobs. Where would I look for the RKE Module (and what does it look like) to find out if mine has it?
easiest way is to just cycle the key. if the door locks do nothing, it is not remote ready.
My locks do nothing, yet I have RKE

Ok, is there any specific year or vehicle that the remote will work from?
For our trucks its 94-97, for the same fobs, it would work with the E series, Bronco, Explorer, Probe, Escort, Windstar, Expedition, Mercury Mountaineer
Brad I found it on my 97. If I remember right I had to jump the connector with a wire. Once it goes into program mode (the doors lock or unlock , I forget) then you hit your remotes.
