Me too!
Thanks Andre! I'm pretty sure the intake manifold is gonna be silver.
Oh yeah!
It's better in your garage than being outside.

Awesome work on the paint. Man, you guys make my junk look like...........well, junk.
I was under my '69 a couple weeks ago trying to get the exhaust hooked back up to the new headers(gave up and will take to exhaust shop come spring). Just about makes me looking at how crusty everything has gotten over the years of just sitting in the garage. The last time it got any detail work was 1988, after I brought it home.

It's great idea. Here's a link to a guy who has an F100 with a 4BT. I want to warn you, this guy has major league talent and the truck is amazing. Wear a bib.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ver-build.htmlI like it!In the past I used the rubber hose from a wrist slingshot. When I was rebuilding the highboy's steering column the PO used the barrel of a Bic pen as the insulator for the horn spring.

Cast Coat Aluminum Spray
Yesterday, I went to O'Reilly's and picked up some Aluminum Cast Coat spray to shoot on some aluminum bracket pieces from my '90 Mustang GT 5.0L H.O. engine.
This will give you some idea how the color looks on the aluminum. --Dupli-Color Cast Coat Aluminum (p/n DE1650) sprayed over Dupli-Color (dark gray) Gray Hot Rod Primer (p/n DAP 1692). This was the 1st coat. I still have to put a second coat on.

2x - looks like the parts were well prepped.
I'm liking the silver intake manifold.

Thanks. Having a bead blast cabinet is a MAJOR plus in getting the parts clean and smooth before laying down a coat of color on them. The bead blaster I have was an expensive tool but, it's been used plenty in the 10 years I've had it and has paid for itself many times over --on my own personal stuff as well as on things I've done for others, for hire.

I went down to the railroad museum tonight to blast a bunch of parts. I'll blacken some of them and the rest will get powder coated.
