Sorry for the late reply guys, I started a little electronic project last night and before I knew it I had to hit the hay.
I'm just doing the under side, I can't imagine how long it would take me to do all the body work.
No kidding Gary, that's what I was thinking when I started making holes on the other side of the offset. I may have uttered some foul language too.
Thanks Pat. I hope you have a great vacation!
99% of the truck is completely solid, the other 1% is cheese.
I don't get it......and it's not bad in the places that are typically bad on these trucks.
Thank for the complement Brian!
Good idea, I'll poke around a little more. When I power washed the bed I knew there was going to be trouble in that channel just by the amount of dirt and rust flakes I got out of it.
I wish I could get more done, but the daily chance of rain in my paint booth sucks.

Might have been a bummer Gavin but I'm just glad you found it now. The rust had advanced enough to rear it's ugly head easily. If you haven't already, you might smack around the channels with a body hammer to make sure there isn't anymore rust not quite ready to show up yet.

Hey Tim, the progress is pretty slow right now.
I did manage to get the bottom of the bed painted.
Sorry about the quality of this pic, the camera lens fogged.
Don't laugh, it worked for all those hard to reach places.
Primed and 3 coats of 2K urethane.
Next up for paint will be inside of the cab floor.

Pat - I used CRC Rust Converter as the primer and Speedokote satin black urethane for the top coat. So far the air dryer is working great! Good call!
Randle - The DeKups worked flawlessly, I had the paint gun upside down getting the back side of the channels and in between the bed sides as much as I could.

Quick update....
I disassembled the front clip, holy cow that's a lot of 5/16-18 bolts.
The inners look good except for where the battery sits.
I did a lot more tack welds and I have to finish grinding the welds.
The passenger side mount on the core support had some rot, the drivers side is in great shape.
I drilled all the spot welds and removed the support plate.
The tab on the angle brace was almost completely rotted off.
I just need to fill all of the holes.
The neighbors auger wagon need a little TLC last night.
