Rear Doors' Weatherstripping

On my 2004 E350, it gets wet in the back in certain circumstances- usually having to do with melting snow. The weatherstripping ion the rear doors s torn and most of the blue plastic fasteners for it (They have a barbed end and a flat end) are missing. Anyone have a good source for both the weatherstripping and the fasteners? Do they come with replacement weatherstripping?

LMC has them the cheapest and looks like they have the clips in the strip , around 75 for the pair shipped.

Chances are leaks through the back doors will not be cured with new seals, especially cheap ones. After a few years of driving the doors become slightly misadjusted which can lead to leaks.

My own '03 E250 will leak under heavy rain or while sitting parked overnight in rain. I park with the rear end sitting higher than the rear so this tends to exaggerate the condition although its not like a severe flood etc---a wet spot and nothing more.

If you want to replace the seals shop around at your local DIY scrap yard, look for seals in good condition. Take a trim panel removal tool to pop the barbed clips loose from the door shell---no need to be too careful with them as they break due their design. Replacements are available for much less than OEM or the called-for aftermarket clips designated for this install. I can provide a site and part number I use for this very task.

So the LMC ones are suspect? I'm going to have to do mine before winter.75 bucks (incl. shipping) for the pair seemed like a good deal.
What's your source ?

"Good deals" are often lower quality items---I buy new OEM.

I agree that good deals are not always good deals......but I'm wondering if these seals are ok....if they are even decent they will probably last long enough for me. They are not a critical component ( like my headlight switch is) and easy to service.
Anyone ever use LMC door weatherstripping ?

I bought some seals from RockAuto. They were a well known brand that sells direct to the comsumer but the price from RockAuto was less then what they were selling it direct.

They were actually better then the old OEM seals and they attached with a double faced strip instead of the contact cement that Ford used on my van.
BTY it is a 1988 E250.

I couldn't tell any quality difference betwwen the stock and the LMC ones , but then again I'm a chowdah head .

LMC is still cheaper and has the clips that my van uses. I just want to know if they are any good.
