OT - Moving to Houston

After five years of driving back and forth to Houston every other weekend to see my girlfriend (she drove to San Antonio the other weekends) I am moving. I have a job lined up in Houston and am looking forward to a big change in my life!

I probably won't be on here much during April since I will be moving...

Ya gotta do what you gotta do! Will your new place have room for all your toys? I dread the thought of moving all my crap...

Good luck with the move. It's always a big pain. My last move was only a mile away and it sucked. Hopefully you will really enjoy your new job. I'm sure you will enjoy being closer to your girlfriend.

Do you need someone to babysit any of your vehicles while you are moving?

Hey Fred,
Good luck on your move!! Houston is kind of large - what part are you headed to?
Topmoo & Zflash are down there somewhere as well.

I have moved to the West side of Houston in the I-10 and Highway 6 area. I still need to finish moving household stuff.

Part of the no-fun of moving is packing up all my automotive literature. No parts books or shop manuals. I'm going to be even less helpful on this forum for a while... oh well. I'm looking forward to being established and back to normal.

290 & Beltway 8, Jersey Village area, also I work in the Galleria area. Dropping mine off for a LS 6.0 swap next week with maybe a SUPERCHARGER in the future. Welcome to H-TOWN,you're moving to the fastest growing area in Houston.Katy has everything you need,no use coming into town, just stay out there. Good luck, L8R ZFLASH

When you get a chance......check out WHM|West Houston Muscle|Houston's Premier Automotive Club and Car Shows
They have a lot of events going on out in the Katy area. Lots of good people.

Houston is my home, I am in the Heights. I work all over the city and then some. The first thing you can't help but notice is the incredible traffic almost all day long. No matter which way you are going, no matter which direction. Get an easy tag for the super expensive toll roads and EZ tag lanes on I10, well worth the money. Give me a shout sometime and come by, I always need the help and usually have a cold frosty in the shop cooler...

Topper, who do you have to work on your truck or do you do it yourself? I'm tired of taking mine to shops that charge a arm & a leg, that take too long, and really don't know what they're doing. Thanks, L8R ZFLASH (Derrick)
