Afternoon All!
Chip. That's what I spray now. It works great, I just play on the side of caution and let it sit three days before I buff it. I want to make sure it's going to do everything it's going to do before I go sanding on it.
One car just got dropped off at the shop and two more are coming tomorrow. I don't have to fix these though. They're on loan for me to have some fun with. They're going to the scrap yard so they don't care if they're a little flatter when they go.

.....The bad news is, the pattern on my gun was screwed up and in my exhaustion, I didn't notice it. I thought like it was spraying heavy, but I just went with it. Turns out the air was WAY down and it ran everywhere! I let it flash for 30-40 minutes in between coats and laid down an extra coat. I should have enough to color sand and buff everything out. I'll just be doing it in the parking lot of the auction.
I'm a fairly decent wrench turner, but haven't done much with bodywork and/or paint. I think I've been told that even the color of the paint can have an effect.
That being said, (or assumed) I'm wondering about painting someone elses truck a lovely shade and might need some help on the research....
