Rc i thought about going the auto trans route but then figured i would need flexplate probably different drive shaft lines to the radiator and back to the trans or aftermarket cooler and whatever else i'm forgetting. Also thought about trying to trade my dodge for something something with a bad motor then talking alan into helping me swap the motor out of my ford into . Alan i haven't dropped the pan or done anything to the dodge yet since i got it other then fire it up and move it around a little. I did run it to beetles but they didn't look at said to them it sounded like the forward clutch pack welded it self together (to which i thought to myself then why does it still shift) or something with the planetary gears in it so we pushed it out of the lot (no reverse have to do it with the truck off) and i drove it back to the house. It doesn't actually try to go forward in park when you fire it up till you rev it up good for a few seconds then you can feel start to lean against the mechanical park shaft or pawl or whatever the hell it is. My boss thinks on my ford that one of my forks possibly broke with the way the shifter is acting. My dad says he has a m5r2 out of a 94 ford tbird supercoupe but i seem to recall reading somewhere on here that the car and truck m5r2 are a little different. Supposedly a zf trans is a swap that requires no or very few parts to do.

Hang in there, the parade is coming. I faxed your invitation to the party last week...did you get it? And I dispatched a carrier pigeon as back up, did you shoot it by mistake? lol

Hello Brian, long time no hear from...how have you been? Sorry no newer Ford trans or Dodge trans setting around up here.
Tell him Metamucil and raisin bran with plenty of fluids will get him right back on track.

Lol, that might help him "get regular", but probably not on FTE....

I talked to him 5 min ago and told him to do his chapter leader thing so you are a Missouri member. I am sure the parade for you is tomorrow unless it rains. lol x2

Hopefully he will grace us with his presence here in a bit. lol X3

"Hi Terry".

Parade scheduled for any minute now... hold your breath.

Morning folks.
I was happily single, living in MO when I was kidnapped by two vicious red heads that lived on the KS side of the state line...

....I still haven't escaped.... (nor am I trying to. )

Howdy, howdy, boys and girls. I'm here, I'm fine...just busy.

Working 40-50 hours a job A, and 25-30 at job B, and I just don't take the time to check in like I should.

Family is fine, we're all healthy.

Just approved quite a few chapter join requests.... including Idgamblin.... you is now a member.

Y'all behave!

Evening All!

What a day. Don't let RC fool you guys. He stopped by to see how I was doing and I slapped a wrench in his hand. He got the '73 torn apart so I could prep everything for paint. Like always, he was a huge help. I'd still be at the shop if he didn't stop by.

The bad news is, the pattern on my gun was screwed up and in my exhaustion, I didn't notice it. I thought like it was spraying heavy, but I just went with it. Turns out the air was WAY down and it ran everywhere! I let it flash for 30-40 minutes in between coats and laid down an extra coat. I should have enough to color sand and buff everything out. I'll just be doing it in the parking lot of the auction.

RC. Don't bother coming up tomorrow. The paint is so thick now, I'm not going to try to assemble it until the weekend. I'm just going to peel it and park it in the new shop until then. I have to get those other jobs in and I can't waste any more time on the '73 right now.

.....what a day.

Yeah, but it's gonna be a week before the paint is cured enough to color sand. That's why I like BC/CC urethane on production work. It's cured in three days and ready to rock n' roll after that.

Good Morning Everybody!

I'm gonna put all the pieces of the '73 in the other shop and get the bumper cover job knocked out today. I guess we'll see how it goes from there. The '48 has to be done pretty quick, but I have another Chevy truck coming in for a full dip tomorrow.
