Disabling speed limiter on 2000 7.3L
Hello all. First time post but even before that got some great advice through searches about how to fix the sloppy shifter (the two torx screws underneath the steering column coming loose)
but I can't find a concrete answer on the following:
We have a 2000 F250 7.3L that we wish to disable the speed limiter on for custom use on private roads. It tops out at around 96 but we'd like to be able to do 120, nothing outlandish. The vehicle is being modified and will have higher rated tires, etc.
I have a hypertech III controller on my own 7.3L truck but it does not have this feature. I do want to reprogram it similar to what the hypertech does in addition to removing the speed limiter.
Any advice let me know. Doing a search here did not turn up any good answers, one person thought the Hypertech III would do that but it does not for this model year.
Thanks,
-Mike
