As we see already in the linked thread the tendency to run off-topic so completely would probably be the same with a thread or section relating to scan tools.

I can think of at least 20 separate issues (slight exaggeration) that would have to be addressed, stipulated to, codified and never varied from in order to make such a thread even halfway useful. The sheer number of scan tools available alone would make this daunting.

IMHO it might be more helpful to have live data results interpreted and explained to those advanced enough to capture and post such information.

Good idea on the surface though.............
