Ken, quick question and I know that you will have the information. The '09 F150 was the first year of that generation of truck. Was the motor and transmission a carry over from the previous generation or not. I am doing some window shopping and have come across a '09 with the 4.6 3V and I see that it has the 6 speed auto in it.

 

I do believe that is the case...4.6 produces somewhere around 250 HP and 300 LB/FT torque.

 

Ok, I was just doing some research and apparently in '09 you could get the 2V 4.6 which appears to be the same motor/trans combination as the '08. The 3V 4.6 was a new design on both parts.

 

Amazing how Ford gets so much power out of a 280 cubic inch engine.

It is George and looking at the specs, the 3V comes in at almost 300 horses which is close to what my 5.4 has.

I saw the best one this morning on my way into the office. Some coworkers plastered a Kia Soul with 3"x3" post-it notes from the trim line all the way to the roof, including all of the glass. If I was quick enough to get my phone out, I would have taken a picture of it.
