AOD would fit.. NOT an AOD-E.. (E for electronic) You may need new driveshafts though..

The diesels have a different bolt pattern. And the overdrive trans with the diesel is computer controlled.

The 300/302/351W share a bolt pattern. Anything else isn't going to work.

For the AOD, '88 to '93 are the preferred years. See post 4 here for more details:

IIRC, the best ones to find are out of the 91-93 F150 equipped with the 351 as they got the widest OD band available. everything else got a narrower band.

avoid transmissions that were behind v6's, unless you are going to go through everything to upgrade to the HD parts.

The AOD never came behind a 351, except in some crown vic's. Any truck with a 351w has a C6 or an E4OD.

yep and like I posted in his other thread about his van.
Putting a stock AOD in a e250 camper conversion is asking for it to melt down. But they don't want to read that. So they asked again.

If you simply must do it, consider this vs. an E4OD with a stand-alone controller:

Gear Vendors under/overdrive transmissions the most awarded auxiliary transmissions.
