Two more projects en route. Decided to investigate slide toppers further. Found that I already have the rail mounted on the side of the RV for the two ODS slides. Going to get Dometic Full Cover toppers for there. Then, I have a call in about the kitchen DS slide that doesn't have the rail. I'll get one for there too if I find the it will fit. I have an awning arm very close to where it comes in so waiting to hear back from my dealer on total width to see if it will work.
Next, after two camping trips I can no longer abide the LOUD hum from my ATS. It's located in the basement but near the open cold air return for the furnace and when the trailer is quiet I can hear it clear back to the garage. FR is sending me a new one but since it will be the same AC contactor type switch from Progressive Dynamics I am going to order my own ESCO DC relay type switch which is completely silent. I'll sell the new PD52 they send me on eBay to help pay for the ESCO. Even if it's quieter than the original, it's only a matter of time before it starts to sing. It's the nature of the beast with an AC contactor switch. If anyone ever has to replace theirs, look to ESCO. They are top notch and quiet.

now.. when I had the genset running I didn't have the hum..
so the only other thing it can be is the EMS.. Progressive EMS-HW50C.
I need to open the bay and get a better handle on the source.

They also make an AC contactor model which is the one you have. Looking at their site it looks like the ES line is their AC contactor line and the LPT is the DC relay line. They told me their AC unit hums just like any other brand so maybe that's why they told you nature of the beast. You probably have it with the genset running too but can't hear it? My progressive EMS is 100% silent. You don't have to power the DC relay, it's all inclusive and converts the power that feeds the relays to DC. These are known to be completely silent. My model number is LPT50BRD. I spoke with their tech Mark for 20 minutes. He's a really great guy and even admits that their AC version is just like anyone else's and doesn't understand why there is still a market for them in RV's where sound pollution is tougher to isolate. I guess the bottom line is, by nature of alternating current they will hum and vibrate and will only get worse with time.

hope to get the gas lines finished for the genset, which is finally installed. Then only wiring to go!..
had to buy tools to cut threads on the 1/4in pipe as they don't sell them long anywhere.
not excited about replacing the ATS, but will like not having the buzz

Good to hear it's getting close to done Sam. You've been on it for a long time! I remember back when I first started this thread and was doing my initial mods, you did your EMS, and asked me about a hum. That's when I first started noticing mine but based on where it was coming from, I knew it was either the ATS or the converter. They are mounted side by side on the DS of my trailer and the EMS is on the ODS. To figure out which was humming, I killed the breaker for the converter while on shore power and the hum remained so I knew it had to be the ATS. Just didn't feel like ripping the basement all apart again but enough was enough on the last trip. Then I figured, if I was going to rip everything apart and work way in the back of the basement almost under the stairs, I was going to put something back in that was better than stock. I can remember when I was young, working on car stereos, laying on my back on the car floor 8 hours. No problem. That twisting and crawling is less fun these days...

the EMS sits on top of the converter.
