greyish white smoke
i broke down and finally baught a rem ip, injectors, return kit, glow plugs, and controller. got it all installed and it started ok. runs ok with a good vibrate and smoke. so I killed it and advanced it as far as I could. I still have a good amount of smoke till it warms up a little. then it slows way down but still smokes. the front left injector is leaking a bit, as I just used a cresent to tighting them. could this cause the smoke with air intrusion? im gunna put a socket on them tomorrow.

Dcp. I didnt look at the reviews which i regret doing. But its already baught and installed. But on the good note all my other problems are solved and i dont have to crank my truck for 10 minutes before it starts. It starts in about 2 seconds now. Can i adjust that throttle thing on the driver side of the pump. I may not have put it back in same spot. And why would i have to adance the pump so far. My old one was same way.

I don't know if this will help find a poor injector, but to check a non-working injector, you slightly loosen the line at the top of the injector while it is running. If the injector is working, the rpm will drop as it stops getting fuel.

please do not become alarmed,,but if all those parts did not make it run good you should preform a compression test, you may find one cylinder or more is low...this could mean that a cam lobe, or lifter, or two has worn out. due to cheap oil with out zinc.. a dial indicator can be used to compare valve lift to confirm a flat cam...
