Batteries charged, topped off coolant, took a proper 1 hour drive to check things out. One thing I discovered is my ECU doesn't have the latest flash as my CEL didnt come on despite the egr delete!! It's a nice 72 degrees here and eot was 208 and ect was 202 steady oh and no puking. I will be a bit concerned about the mishi tstat when it gets even warmer out. May have to start changing oil sooner than 5000 miles.

Why... when it gets to 200* it opens. It shouldn't matter what ambient temps are... well if it's 200* outside then is should be open already

Take the wife for a ride too

Hahaha--true. I do understand in theory but at 50 and below out ect stays at 200, 70 out it's at 202, at 100 it will be 204 to 206 (just guessing) and oil temp will be 210 to 212. So eot being at that day in day out I would think it won't last as long--but that's just my thinking now--that could change lol.

In regards to Mishimoto and ambient temps and/or load:

I noticed 198-200 unloaded and temps well under 32 degrees. Steady 199-200 on the highway at the colder ambient temps.

Yesterday with an ATV in the bed and a trailer with 2 ATVs I saw 203-204 ECT @ 65 with 85 ambient.

Odd thing is the EOT spread is closer at the hotter temps, even with the load, than it was with the old Motorcraft.

I noticed that when I first put it in which was nice. If it doesn't go over 204 on the ect when it gets warmer I'll be happy.

About the latest flash, mine took about 300 miles before I threw the p0401, it popped up today so I'll be looking for a sct in a week or 2

My truck never sets the cel light but there is a code for the low egr flow if you scan it.
I agree great day indeed I went 230 miles from whiteout conditions, to light snow, freezing rain then plain rain to nothing by the time I got home.

It sputtered a few snow flakes this morning here. Told the wife no way it was going to get to 67 today. Sure enough the sun came out, the wind died a little and next thing you know it's getting warm. Now if we can keep that up I'll be happy

It was nice here today also went to check to see if the river is falling enough yet to let the turkeys back in the bottoms and it got up to 81 here today! Hopefully we don't get the rain there calling for Tuesday and Wednesday
