Help to route re-wired rear speakers

Hi all....

Stereo project time. I upgraded speakers & head unit for my 95 Aerostar.

Installed a pioneer DEH- X6700BT head unit.
Rear speakers are MB Quart 6x9 & front dash are 5.25 NVX V series. All 4
great speakers.

I was getting crack distortion in the fronts and re-wired them with new stereo speaker wires . I think 14 or 16 gauge. It is the basic clear insulated indoor stereo speaker wire.

Now my fronts sound like they should and no distortion. Great.

My side rear 6x9's now need the new wiring to balance out. ( I have rear hatch speakers which work OK, but I probably disconnect them )

What I want to know is different suggestions on routing the new wires from the head unit down to the L & R rear 6x 9's . They are both in the traditional speaker compartments. I do not mind bypassing the rear controls . No little kids and my dogs only care if the windows are open.

Thanks. Austin

I usually carefully pulled the threshold panels along the bottom of the front doors and fed my new wires through there.

When front doors are open the wiring would then be exposed and probably trip over them if they run to the back of the truck if I go via the front doors....

Next?

Under the carpet. Remove that plastic that holds the carpet down along the doors and use a fish tape, aka coat hanger to pull the wires the rest of the way.

You put the threshold back on. I've done this many times. Its the best pathway. You could go overhead, but you have significant risk of breaking the panels, they are a pain to get off without pulling lots of stuff out of the way.
