I just bought the truck and was told that the brain box keeps burning up after you shut the truck off so I bought a new brain box and it does keep burning up, what could be causing this? Was told that the kid tried removing an alarm system and ever since this has been happening... Thanks in advance for all the help.

Respectfully how could we help you with someone else's mess, from this board?
No one knows what has been done or how many issues their are.
With the possibility of loosing more PCM replacements trying to solve the mess, I would consider replacing any part of the harness network that has been altered or ratted up.
Basically the PCM has power applied full time to keep it's memory alive, through a separate fuse.
The other running function is to power up the PCM when the ignition switch is turned to the RUN/START position through a relay in the fuse box.
Who knows how this function was messed with?
This is what happens when people have no idea what they are doing, then you buy the mess.
Sorry to sound harsh but why do people do this?
Don't buy some one else's mess.
Even if it is free it's still not a bargain in the end if you have a big hassle and expense trying to repair.
The truck is junk to everyone until it's all straightened out.
Good luck.
