steering box
#3
With the beam axle? Years ago some used a chevy IFS steering box with a cross steering tie rod from the box to the passenger side spindle arm instead of a drag link, but it was clumsy, had bump steer, and had a very large turning radius from what I have read while researching the power steering article. Once the Toyota box started to become popular the cross steer system became extinct. Mid Fifty had dropped the conversion parts by their 2011 catalog.

Ok thanks very much, that's what I wanted to know, a friend had one and was going to give it to me but I didn't think it was a good fit
