Stock Pitman Arm 79 Ford F150 4x4

I have a 77 Ford F150 4x4 that I am converting to a 78/79 steering linkage. I have not been able to locate the 79 pitman arm that I need. I have checked with all the local junkyards and no luck. Ebay only has drop pitman arms. The part number is D8TZ-3590-B. Any help would be great.

Apparently they're hard to find because a fellow member about a year ago traded me an Edelbrock cam and lifter kit for one.

Yeah, I didn't see one in the picture that looked like what I need. Thank you for the link though.

I have what you are looking for. I lifted my 1978 F150 and replaced the pitman arm. If you want to email me your address I can get it in the mail by Tuesday. All I ask is you pay me for shipping. wjsuter82@gmail

I am in the same situation. I have a low mileage 76 F150 4wd which I would like to change the steering from the inverted Y to the later (78-79) T-style steering but cannot find a pitman arm. Anyone have one they would like to sell? I get what I hear is called the death shake when I hit a pothole or bump and am trying to do whatever it take to control the problem. My truck is NOT lifted. Any other thoughts? Help.

Replace your track arm bushings. That is the #1 cause for the death wobble.

The part number is D8TZ-3590-B
D8TZ-3590-B .. P/S Pitman Arm / Marked: D8TA-3590-BA / Obsolete

Applications: 1978/79 F150 4WD Regular Cab & Bronco / No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Check with Bronco Graveyard and see if they have it, as it's the same.

Note: 1978/79 F150 4WD Super Cab uses a different pitman arm: D7TZ-3590-C (marked: D7TZ-3590-GA) / Obsolete.

It's the same as 1977 F250 4WD from serial number Y20,001 (not a High Boy), 1978/79 F250 4WD & 1979 F350 4WD
