Who are the real Ford guys

Ok, I'm 66. Will be 67 much later this year. I am currently attracted to 1948 Ford pickups because of their own history and the fact that it is also the year I was born. I started owning cars when I was 14. I was given a 51 Ford 4 door sedan my parents had had. I bought a 54 2 door sedan and a 52 business coupe. They are all long gone. I graduated in 1966 and went to work as a mechanics apprentice at a local Ford dealer. While there, I bought a 1935 Ford 3 window coupe from another mechanic. A year later I bought a 1964 1/2 Mustang and sold the coupe. I had the mustang and a year and a half then traded it for a 1966 Fairlane GT 390. Vietnam was raging so I enlisted in The Air Force. Upon retuning from Thailand in 1971 , I bought a 1964 Thunderbird. I had it for about a year then sold it and bought a 1970 Torino Cobra, 429. From there it really gets crazy. I often have had two or more vehicles. I have own a 1954 pickup a 1967 and a 1977 Bronco, a 1974 long bed custom and a 1974 Mazda built Currier, a 1976 4 wheel drive F150 and a whole lot of other cars and trucks. Mostly Fords. That would bring us up to today's driveway. It contains my 2008 F250, my wife's 2013 Mustang Gt and her 1996 Ford minivan. I'm still looking for my 1948. In all, I have owned 70 or more cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Hey! I'm a Ford guy just like my father. When I spent my summers on my grandfather's farm in southern Illinois, I rode in my uncle's "50 Ford and drove a Ford tractor by the time I was 12. In college, I spent three summers in Chicago driving a Good Humor ice cream truck; a Ford truck with a flathead "8." Today, retired, I drive a "51 Ford Deluxe coupe! I'm living the good life! Attn Schuyles! Rouge refers to the Rouge River facility in Detroit, LBAP is the Long Beach Assembly Plant (Calif) where Ford cars and trucks were built. My current 56 was originally built there. Thanks again for all the replies, I am building an incredible mountain of information which should make for some very interesting profiles. KEEP 'EM COMING!!!!

See how this fits - Around 1962 I was part owner in a 1947 Ford Coupe used at the drags and a 51 F1 used as a neighbor hood work truck - My first car in 1964 was a 56 two door hardtop - My next Ford was in 1983, a Ford Ranger, then in 1985 a Ford Arrow Star, 1989 A Ford Explorer (First one sold in Ohio), 1995 A Ford Explorer, and finally in 1997 a Ford Explorer - I also bought a 1946 Ford Coupe in 95, a 48 Ford Panel in 97 and a 52 F2 in 2012

My first car was a 64 Ford Fairlane that I shared with my brother. After that I bought a project ****** M38A1 Jeep.
I have had too many cars to count, but the Fords include a 77 F150, A 68 F100, a 73 F350 Super Camper Special, a 96 Explorer, a 95 F250 Powerstroke, and the 52 F2 (converted to an F1). In 2013 I bought an Eco-Boost F150 as my daily driver....that is a nice truck to drive. The memory that hurts is that a distant relative tried to give me a 48 F1 with a flatty in it when I was 15...I was more interested in the Jeep & passed on the offer. I'll write that off as one of life's bad decisions.

My first truck. This is headed to college, got it the week I turned 16 and worked on it all through High School. Sold it in the 80's.
Here's my 52 in front of my 51 panel which is on the trailer behind my super-crew, ready to go to body shop class. Guess I could have moved the 9n over not to mention the 51 supercab project in the barn.
In between I have had 68 F-100, 78 Ford van, 73 Bronco,86 F100 and 85 F250 along with various off topic family cars.
