I'd be finding yourself a quality ICP sensor first.

If you get a mechanical gauge and tap into a head you will see the real value. That compared to the ICP value will show you exactly if its bad. I would do as others said and get a good ford one. Why get stranded and have an expensive tow over 125$ vital sensor.

Of all the stuff in your sig line, you don't mention anything about the injectors. Are they stock? Have the been worked on in the last 150K to 200K miles to your knowledge. I've got my money on at least one set of failed injector o-rings. If oil is leaking past them, you won't build up enough pressure to start. I just went through this myself. I'd remove the valve covers and inspect before I bought another sensor, just my opinion. As already mentioned, HPOP failure is highly doubtful. If it's the o-rings, you'll be able to tell immediately when you crank without the valve covers.

I have not known if the injectors have been worked on I bought the truck with 248k miles and put 18k miles on it in the past 2yrs iv had it , everything is bone stock except for a 4inch down pipe .... Oh yeah and today it cranked up realivently faster and I popped the hood and the icp sensor was plugged in but my check engine light is still on , where can I find a good mechanical gauge at ?

a hydraulics shop would be the place. the gauge will have to have the pressure capacity maybe 5k psi. and I think the head is -5 oring...I THINK...

You definitely have a high pressure oil leak when warm . Its not the pump . The low ICP is because that is what the PCM is seeing Not what it is calling for .Unplugging the ICP makes the PCM guess & at the same time keeps increasing IPR DC till it starts. Pull the covers when fully warmed up & watch the oil spill spouts . They should all be dumping the same amount of oil . A cheap test.

YEP ON THIS ^^^^^
In my case, I pulled the passenger side cover and all was good. I pulled the driver side cover, and oil shot half way across my shop when I tried to crank it. No mystery then. In my case, #2 injector top o-rings had failed.

The injectors are stage 1 from the PO, so I don't know how many miles they had on them. I replaced all external o-rings on the injectors. On every one of them, the top 2 o-rings were torn in some way. In some cases, I'm guessing they were weak and got torn the rest of the way during the removal process. About 3K-4K miles on them since, and no problems at all!

I wonder if the PO installed the sticks with aftermarket o-rings on them....

Alliant or Motorcraft o-rings only.
