Hidden Power Door Lock Button - on outside of vehicle
Hello all,
The ambulances that we drive at my work (E-450's) have a really cool feature that I would like to add to my '99 F350 Crew Cab Lariat.
We had an external momentary push button added (somewhere) to the outside of the vehicle that unlocks all the doors and compartments. This was done because of those times when we accidentally locked the doors on an emergency scene or other event. I was thinking this would be nice for those times when I'm hunting with a group, and they get back to the truck before I do, or the kids need to get into the truck but don't have the keys, etc...
What I'm wondering is - what's the best way to go about wiring this mod? Should I just splice the external button into the driver's door lock switch wiring?
Thanks,
Naegling
