New Tow Mirrors

Hey all ! Well I'm going to have to get new tow mirrors ! I was Driving on a narrow road today and a transit bus was way over the yellow line ran me in the ditch and her mirror smacked mine at about 35mph. Completely folded mine in cracked the housing and blew the mirror out. Its shot !!!!!

SO weather i can get the transit company to pay for the repairs or not I'm gonna need new mirrors. HOPEFULLY they will cover the damages. If not well i will be buying new ones. Long story but the sheriff said it was no fault.

So i had the Double swing telescopic power heated mirrors. I would like to get the mirrors from a 06/07 with the side markers. Same thing double swing, telescopic, power adjustment, heated with the side beacons. Any suggestions on a good set that are a decent price that will not rattle around and make wind noise ?
I remember Trey had a write up on how to wire them up so the lights work IIRC . And also remember reading somewhere about some making wind noise and the glass moving around at highway speeds as i mentioned above. Id like to get some that won't !

Thanks for the help fellas !!!!!

Some here are saying (I think its a Tony) at 1A Auto for mirrors........

I, like you want to get the '08 UP mirrors and want the same as you with NO rattling or shaking around.

No dis respect towards those who like the 08 and up mirrors but id rather stick to the 06 - 07 mirrors. Just my opinion i think they look outta place on our trucks.

Thanks Pete ! Yea i remember that also. I looked at 1A Auto and they were not too high. About 30 to 40 bucks more than others i seen on flea bay. If his products are good based on reviews then its worth the extra for sure no doubt !

I have finally figured out how to get the pictures the seller wants which will distinctly show the mirror distortion... hopefully, this will let me get this issue resolved and behind me.

So, Anyone know if Tony's mirrors are made in the US? or just a different factory in China? I really want to do the '08 up swap only 1 time and not have any problems myself.

So anyone have or know where to find a good write up on wiring the running lights and turn signals on the newer mirrors ?

Just ordered some from 1a auto.

Tow mirrors for 2000 X

I need to upgrade my mirrors to tow mirrors (so I'm told) and was just woundering if I could pull em off a newer truck and just switch em over....I'm new to this so if it's been addressed can you point me to the thread? I also need new shocks for the rear glass to hold it up...again any parts that cross over, like the kind used For the hood? I try to get parts from junk yards cause I'm a cheapo lol so just looking for what to get if you guys know any.....thanks
