What are you guys using your ash tray for?

 

I took one of my wifes fingernail paint bottles with the brush, cleaned out the nail polish and filled it with left over paint from my truck, now when I get a nick I can touch it up on the spot. I keep it in the ash tray so if it should leak it wont leave the ash tray

 

I am thinking about putting one of those accessory power plugs in there for charging the cell phone etc. Also seems like a nice spot for the truck registration and insurance card.

 

Mines going to be an Ipod dock.

Not from me I'm afraid, still putting dynamat in so the dock is a little down the list!

 

I still use the ashtray for ashes.

I've mounted a plate with the four ***** for the a/c and heat controls in the opening.

 

Filled in. But I use to keep coins, gas cap key nice stuff place.

Mid Fifty sells a cupholder that slides into the ashtray slot and holds two drinks. Comes right out for shows, if so inclined. (Only for '56.)

 

I keep my registration and insurance cards in there, plus loose change.

 

The ash tray in the '49 holds the remote control for the gate, a flashlight, fingernail file, spare change and ?????? I don't know what else may be in the one on the '49. I think there is a gate remote in the '56.
