why won't code scanner light up

Truck won't run. Scanner won't do anything. Could this mean the pcm is bad?

Could be a lot of things and it sounds like you haven't checked any of them.

Is there a battery installed in whatever you have? (We are not psychic).

more info for non psychics

Sorry,I'm lucky I even figured out how to post thread. F150 with 5.4 engine just abruptly quit one 15 deg below 0 day.no stutter or sputter or anything.cannot here fuel pump. All lights work.everything but scanner and 1 socket of dual outlet that has not worked for a while.battery is a real good one,not more than 1 year old. Could have missed blown fuse, wouldn't be the first time.plenty of gas.introduced gas to throttle body, nothin.jacked up truck and stuck ear on tank while the woman ran switch, nothin.every thing beside engine works.very strange.mm

New Memeber Same Problem

I justexperienced the same problem with mine today...scanner could not read because fuse was blown...not sure what year truck you have but I have a 2003...check the fuse box located to the left of the bottom steering wheel...check fuse 3 to see if it is blown...if so replace it with a 20 ATM of course and try again...hoe this helps you.

Mike
