Special wrench for removing OP sending unit on flathead
#16
Hi Ross,
I take it that the "Up" arrow means mounting with the screw up, not upside down with the screw pointing down. I may try some surgery on the old sender after I get the new one and I know it works.
That hole in the bottom isn't actually a thru-hole. The pic is a little misleading. It's a deep indentation, probaly made by some holding fixture during manufacture.
It was working OK, reading about 50 PSI on the dash gauge. But dripped constantly, about five drops per day on my garage floor. My mechanic told me "all old trucks leak" but I noticed that his old trucks don't leak. Maybe he cares about his more than he cares about mine.
