Re-Man 7.3 Longblock

I recently replaced the 7.3 PowerStroke in my 1994.5 F250 & didn't get but a couple miles down the road when the Oil Pressure Gauge "reversed" the sensor so it now the needle falls into the L portion of the Gauge. I have taken it back to the original Service Center, another Ford Dealer & a few mechanics I know. One of them was able to reverse it for about a day. Does anyone out there in this forum have an answer. Nothing better than having a NEW PowerStroke, nothing worse is watching my Oil gauge go the wrong direction...Thanks.

i would put a real oil pressure gauge in it.
the stock gauges are not reliable for much of anything.

I agree with Tom. The oil pressure gauge in these is basically a glorified dummy light. All it will tell you is you have oil pressure. Although I understand the frustration of the gauge not working. That must be annoying. IMO it's probably something wrong in the gauge but I really don't know how to diagnose or repair it. Welcome to the forum.
