A little fabrication for the SuperDuty

Just fabricated some brackets for my truck and thought I'd throw them up on here. The photos are from a crappy phone camera so they aren't that great but the color on these is awesome!!

And if I could plug a powdercoat company check out North Coast Powder Coating in Perry, Oh. Jimmy does phenomenal work and his prices can't be beat! He also did a water bucket (for our horse) in this sick purple powdercoating!!

The wife/kids got me this box for Christmas so I started designing these brackets shortly after that. I already had the Back Rack but there are a couple different base mounts for them. One is 2" square tubing and their "box mount" style. I had the non-box mount style which worked out better for a few reasons.

One is the box mount is made for standard toolboxes which are generally about 20" deep. I hate to loose any bedspace so I asked for the 12" narrow box. This one just allows me to get crap out of the cab like emergency items included jumper cables, tow straps, fluids, etc.

The second and better reason is it allowed me to fabricate these bad boys, lol!! They are custom-made to this size box and lift it up just enough to clear the angled mounting bracket on the Back Rack. Plus I think it makes the truck look tougher, but maybe that's just me!!

Love 'em!!

Nice work!

I like that little box. Like you say, just big enough to put the little crap in from the cab, but not take up tons of bed space.

With my lil regular cab, I have really no room to store stuff. I have a milk crate in the back, but it slides around even on my rubber mat. Guess I need to quit playing Steve McQueen on the ramps.....
