KEEP 302 PCM. run 351w on MAF instead of speed density. much better system.
OP didnt mention on his post that the truck is SD or MAF. If SD, he'll still need to replace the 5.0 PCM to a MAF puter, yes?
Can he still use a 5.0 SD computer on the new 5.8 with no drastic problems?
Can anyone comment on doing the opposite?
I have a 95 f250 H stamp vin with a 5.8l with an E4OD and I want to know if a 1994 F250 5.0l with an E4OD will swapout? Im thinking the Y pipe will defineately have to be changed.
Also, will the trannys swap out with no issues?
'94 5.0 will swap no problem as will the trans but this will be a downgrade. Same rules apply, don't change any wiring in the '95 but do change the PCM, and yes the Y pipe will have to be changed or modified.
The transmission is basically the same from 1994 to 1995. The only thing that comes to mind is the connector for the MLPS was changed in '95. Same electrical function just redesigned to be less prone to damage from moisture. Not sure if the solenoid block connector was changed as well, I think it did.....
