Dash Plug or Hole Cover

I'm looking for the plug that fills the hole in the dash. See picture below. Not sure of the P/N. Maybe C1TB 18607-A? Where can I find the right cover?

I did a search for a chrome hole cover and came up with a wide selection in the plumbing sector. You may find what you need at an Ace or Do It Best or other actual hardware store, depending on the size of the hole.

Are those actually a Ford part? I have never seen them before.

Good luck with your search.

The picture I embedded was scraped off of an Internet site. My truck just has a hole. From reading, I think there was a plug unless the truck had a cargo light, but I'm not exactly sure. I've seen some trucks with a plug in this spot.

I thought it was just a little embossed circle and if the option was ordered they'd drill a hole in it and install the switch...? This is the only picture at that angle that I have of mine but now it's starting to look more like a plug than an embossed circle. I'm not sure. The previous owner sprayed black over everything.

I have seen way to many pics of dashes without a hole in the above pictured dash for me to think all had holes and some plugged off. BUT, your part number C1TB18607A is listed as "heater switch opening cover". Fitting various B,F,N,NT,and T. cabs.
NOS parts limited shows one.....972-937-2201.
KAMA Obsolete shows one.........763-434-0123.

But I'd do the hardware store thing.

I have a similar hole in the dash of a 1967 Ford F250. It is directly to the left of the choke. The hole is 9/16 and there is another very small hole directly below it. I am looking for a chrome dash plug or hole cover that would be 1 5/16 outside diameter to cover the entire hole and the smaller hole. But still fit into the 9/16 hole. I removed a secondary hood opening pull **** from this hole. Had anyone seen these type of plugs?

I bought one off of ebay but it does not fit the hole I am looing for. It seems to fit the hold left if I took out the cigarette lighter.

Look at the parts catalog pic, the hole to the right of the choke uses 374052-S plug / Obsolete

The hole to the left of the choke uses C1TB-18607-A .. Cover-Heater Switch Opening / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either of these plugs.

These plugs were used on 1950's/60's cars/trucks and have been hard to find for decades.

1967 F100/750 has a one year only dash, radio, heater and ignition switch. 1968/72 is different.

The one on the far right side of the dash covers up a hole used for the fresh air cable.

1961/64 F100/350's have the cable without a heater or with a recirculating heater, only certain 1965/66's do.

What is the 9775 control for that is showing in the parts diagram that fits an F500/750 that goes into this hole?

I see this hole had two uses, one is 9775 and the other is 18607 (18598/18545/17513) controls for economy fresh air heater. If I could find 9775 I could maybe use it for the secondary hood release mechanism that was unlatched from the **** that was there. I removed it because the **** did not match. I'm now thinking I'll try could find a matching **** and bezel and modify it to work for this secondary hood release.

I have discovered these ***** are specific to 1967 only as you noted. They have a little indention around the edges that the later ones do not have. I will look on other models 50's/60's for a matching cap.

By the way, the lighter is brand new along with the plug and heating mechanism. Luckily I found a new OEM on eBay in a box.

I checked McMaster Carr and they don't have anything like this one. It requires a 1 5/16 head diameter with a 9/16 hole plug. I can get a cap that fits a 9/16 hole and I can get a cap that is 1 5/16 outside diameter. But haven't seen one that does both. Could even be less than 1 5/16 but still needs to be large enough to cover the smaller alignment hole on the bottom.

This is what it would look like with the cap on.
