What is this?

Can anybody help me identify what this part is? The images I'm posting are from inside the rear passenger side door with the door speaker removed. This cylindrical part is rattling like nobody's business...it's driving me nuts as I go down the road and it's just constantly chattering. As a temporary stopgap, I've stuffed a piece of a shop rag between it and the door frame and that seems to take care of it. But that's not gonna last as I'm sure the rag will slip out of place. I want to say it's the window motor, but I'm not sure.

Agreed, in the lower photo the item that is more centered sure appears to be a power window motor. The cable to the far left in the lower image is probably one of the cables for the window regulator.
