Spark plug firing order 352

Can somebody give me the firing order? 1966 f250 352 engine. I thought i got it right, but when i started it and drove it around it was backfiring.Iv searched the web and cant find anything.

It is also cast into the intake manifold (if you have a Ford intake).

make sure you find no#1 position on your distributor cap and go counter clock wise with the firing order.

Lets see if i got it right, on the discap going counter clockwise the first two are 1 and 5? Just making sure. And would you happen to know the cylinder numbers?

I don't have diagram for you, but the if you stand in front of your truck, facing the engine. Then on your left are cylinders 1,2,3,4 from front to rear. On your right are cylinders 5,6,7,8 from front to rear.

Those should be numbered on the intake too.

I think nearly all Ford V-8's of this era had the same firing order. The only exception that I know of was the 351W which was of later vintage and the later model 5.0's I think also had a different firing order.
