when does your cruisin' season start?

while we are waiting around for the snow to melt and the salt to get washed off the roads, i'd like to hear when folks start their crusin' season. i'm in upstate NY and i can ususally start (using my heater as nec) in Mid-April. i realize that a portion of our members can pretty much drive all year.

The weather is wonderful up here, sunny and moderately warm. My harley buddies are out. I haven't taken the cobra out yet.

The weather was crappy last Sunday, and the weekend before that...

Realistically in Texas we have a reverse cruising season. For those of us without A/C we don't drive in the afternoons during June, July, August, sometimes parts of May and September. Basically when the low is 85 at night, you don't drive your old car that much after about 9 in the morning.

About 2 weeks ago. The dirt road I live on is still full of frost heaves, but I can make it to the highway. Weather has been great here!

Usually not this early, but I've been considering doing some putting around, (can't call it cruising till I get the cruisin gears ) this weekend if I'm lucky, I'll get to see if I rebuilt my carb correct! Very excited!

For me it started last weekend. It got off to a rocky start. I dropped the front wheel of the side of the driveway. I had jack the truck up, turn the wheel sharply so that it was contacting the drive, and slowly back off the jack.

But after that it was all good. I made a couple trips around town. On my second trip out my heater core sprung a leak. So I guess I know what I get to work on next.

I would have been out driving it more this winter if wasn't having radiator issues. Outside of the two weeks we had snow and bitter cold, the winter has been pretty mild here.

Cruisin' season is year round here in the south, especially since my 53 is a daily driver.

Around here, sometime when the swimming pool melts maybe end of July.
So the curtains and sterno heat cans are the norm. Also I dont move until
outside temp is 10 degrees more than my age, and my car never heats
up and I aint got no stinkin water pump either....

We didn't get any snow here this year at all, I'm guessing because of the drought in California.

It has been sunny. Yesterday I worked outside all day in a t-shirt.
