TS Chip Question

Purchased the TS chip for my OBS 1997 7.3. When I got ready to install the chip, I noticed on the computer, there is a white label that says Mar 11, 2004.
Question is, does that mean the programming on the chip will not work?

As long as your computer is what the chip is programmed for youll be fine, IE: federal truck, auto, single shots.. It may be that your pcm was refurbished at some point... That date is irrelivent, the pcm didnt come from a 04 for example...

After I posted this, I remembered that I had it replaced about that time. It crapped out and had it replaced twice that year.
But, thanks for the response.

No prob.. Remember, following the install instructions are fairly critical.. The TS type chips are temperamental to ill prepaired contacts..

I have a concern. After installing new injectors, intake, and chip, after finally getting it started, it will only start if I have it in the high idle position. I have tried a few times with it in stock but it just cranks.

I went round and round w my chip at first due to a programming issue. Many on here helped tho. The fact that it starts is good. Take all your powering down precautions ie disconnect batteries, key out of the ignition and so forth. Remove the chip and reclean the contacts. Theres been discussions about how far to go when cleaning; general consensus is DO NOT get into the copper. Hopefully you just need to make a better connection.. My chip was a strange mongeral because I have splits and a fed pcm, the first time i think i got it to start on high idle but all the other times the WTS light just stayed on and it cranked and cranked; i had the wrong programming. Its a slim chance its not programmed correctly so maybe verify everythings correct as far as thats concerned. Obviously if you need to call someone it wont happen tonight but just sayin...

Thanks guys. I've been working on getting it all back together, all day. Gonna give it a rest for tonight. I have to work tomorrow. So it will be Tuesday before I get to pull the chip and re clean the contacts. I'm hoping that's it. I was actually excited when I finally got the air bled out and it started.
Besides, the exhaust will be here tomorrow so I'll be doing that on Tuesday as well.

Don't make the mistake I did by 'over' cleaning the contacts. All you really need to do is get the plastic coating off that came from the factory.

No they didn't ask for the PCM code. Also, I had the PCM replaced in 2004. When I was installing the chip, it appeared the it was a used, or re flashed PCM. Could it possible that has something to do with it?
I guess I won't know anything until I'm able to get back into it..

I have a feeling you have a different code than they expected since it has been replaced.
