Leveling kit results eating away at me

Skooch,
I know we have different Trucks but I thought I'd share my Leveling/Lift Kit experience
I have a 2006 F250 w/a 2 piece Driveshaft (has a Carrier Bearing) & installed a Pro-Comp 2.5 Front / 2.0 Rear Lift/Level Kit, which included 4" tapered blocks (OE was 2" Flat) long story short the Truck sits perfect but I had a shimmy on acceleration that after a long battle I solved by removing the Tapered Blocks & installing Flats (still 4 inch) Pro-Comp did finally send me the Flat Blocks I wanted FREE of charge & everything's been perfect since...

I don't see any 5" flat blocks. It seems everyone makes the tapered ones. I just don't know what to do at this point.
Should I return the Readylift 5" tapered kit? Or maybe install it and see what happens? And if it doesn't work, try some shims? I have a single driveshaft on mine. No carrier bearing. 156" wheelbase crew cab short box.

I have a 2015 F350. I put in the 2.5 inch ready lift in mine with the 5 inch block in the back. After the dealership put it in the truck made an awful noise. Long story short those poor guys went over every inch of my truck including putting 5 wireless noise detectors all over it and driving it they discovered the block in back that came with the lift had no taper to it. They took the rear drive shaft off and drove it and the noise was gone. What made it confusing is the noise only came when you took your foot off the gas until you got to 60 mph. Then it got very loud. They ordered a tapered shim for it and that took care of the problem. No one including the mechanics thought such a small amount of lift could make a drive shaft issue. After all the rear of the truck was only lifted less than two inches. I have a regular cab long bed by the way.

Installed an Auto Spring Corp 2" leveling kit for my 2013 F-350 SD several months ago and it sits about a little under a half an inch higher in the front as opposed to the rear and is noticeable. The passenger side front is almost an inch higher then the driver side front. (Never measured prior to kit install). So I'm not sure if it is a Ford issue that already existed or an issue with the kit install. I made sure the springs were positioned properly and seated properly during install. Thoughts?
Ok. Soooo back to the reverse rake issue. I ended up buying a ready lift 5" block kit because I'm thinking that may give me the height I'm looking for. ( I don't mind a slight rake to the front). Does this sound like the way to go? It seems most people put a 5" block on a F350 with a 2.5" leveling kit on the front. I just hope it doesn't bring the rear up to high considering I only have a 2" spacer in front.
And lastly.. Should I be ok without a carrier bearing shim considering I'm only going up about an inch in the rear?
Thanks
Dan

Wow. dave7200, Your kit came without a tapered block? Does your truck have 2 driveshafts with a carrier bearing? I believe the tapered blocks are ok on that application. But not the single driveshaft like mine. Hotrod70d I have the 66-2015 kit and its tapered. The 66-2025 is for the dually trucks. Mine is SWR.
There seems to be a pattern with people getting driveline vibrations with incorrect blocks.

This new math confuses me.
You wanted your front level with your rear, so you installed a 2 inch leveling kit.
Now, you want the rear 1/2 inch higher, so you're going from 2.5 inch blocks to 5 inch blocks.
Wouldn't raising the rear 2.5 inches put you back at where you started, with the rear 2 inches higher?

SDElwood, that sits perfect. A little higher in the rear. Just what I like. It's funny your situation seems to be opposite of most. I'm reading about folks that had a vibration WITH a tapered 5" block. Your saying you had a vibration with a flat block. I called Readylift today to inquire about a flat block and they don't offer one. Can you do me a favor and look under your truck and see if the driveshaft is in a direct line with the pinion?
